Fulham have been drawn against Liverpool in the League Cup semi-finals.
Marco Silva’s side reached the last four of the competition for the first time in the club’s history after they beat Everton on penalties following a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park last night. The Whites will face Jurgen Klopp’s men in the two-legged semi-final tie after the Reds thumped West Ham United 5-1 at Anfield tonight.
The first leg will be played at Liverpool in the week commencing Monday 8 January, with the tie coming to a conclusion at Craven Cottage a fortnight later. The precise dates and times of the two matches will be confirmed in due course.
No way the Football hierarchy could permit a Fulham Middlesbrough semi…the money says Liverpool Chelsea and that’s that.
All is slanted toward the big money clubs from this to VAR to on field refereeing decisions…
The question will be if Jurgen or Marco go with the players who have played all the other cup games or change to their EPL players…. either tough one for Fulham, but we have to believe and have a go because on the day I think we have a very good team!!
We were always going to get Liverpool or Chelsea. Such a fix up by the guys at the top. They are the biggest cheats out there. It is upto Fulham to upset the odds.
The draw required Chelsea to play Middlesboro, as Fulham could feasibly beat Chelsea over two legs.
Liverpool to play Fulham, very tough for us to beat Liverpool over two legs.
Guess what, that’s what happened.
Electronic ball drop required with all balls dropping through single hole, possibility of numbered balls with different weights, or different heats.
Did all notice the balls where already in the drum, before the draw was made.
It happens too many times with big teams, drawn apart at latter stages of competition,
Must admit, it’s difficult to avoid concluding that the draw was rigged!
Unfortunately, the whole game is a big con trick these days …
At the end of the day however if we can’t or don’t beat Liverpool we’re not going to win the competition anyway.
