If, like me, you are still sore about Saturday’s stoppage-time ending, a great form of Monday motivation arrives in the shape of the excellent Football Ruined My Life podcast, co-hosted by our good friend Paddy Barclay.

Barclay, super-agent Jon Holmes and author Colin Schlinder, who penned the brilliant Manchester United My Life, have just released a wonderful walk down memory lane with the one and only ‘Diddy’ David Hamilton. The iconic broadcaster, and former Craven Cottage MC, talks through a lifetime of following Fulham and gives us plenty of brilliant stories about some of the game’s greats, including how he once laid on a goal for Bobby Charlton on the hallowed Cottage turf.

David also shares his memories of how football used to be – plus his tales of getting to know the likes of George Cohen, Johnny Haynes, Ernie Clay, Mohamed Al-Fayed and many, many more. It’s a great episode that will give us all a much-needed lift after a disappointing weekend.

Listen here if you like.
