Aleskandar Mitrovic says he is amazed by Fulham’s fine form and has pledged to ‘keep the dream going’ after firing the Whites to a third consecutive victory by scoring the winner at Leicester City last night.

The Serbian striker’s eleventh goal of the season – beautifully finished from a wonderful Willian ball – was enough to beat Brendan Rodgers’ side and lift Fulham up to seventh. Marco Silva’s men are now level on points with Liverpool and currently occupy a UEFA Europa Conference League position.

Mitrovic told the BBC after the final whistle at the King Power Stadium:

“It’s amazing. When you get promoted, the first target is to stay up. We don’t think ahead, we stay with both feet on the ground. We’ll see what happens at the end. This is a dream for us – we want to keep the dream going.

Fulham will have to do without Mitrovic for the SW6 derby against Chelsea on 12 January after their talismanic number nine received a harsh booking late in the contest.
