Marco Silva has no worries about Layvin Kurzawa replacing the suspended Antonee Robinson in Fulham’s line-up at Newcastle on Sunday afternoon.

American left-back Robinson has been one of the Whites’ most consistent performers during their remarkable return to the top flight, but will miss this weekend’s Tyneside trip after picking up a tenth booking of the campaign in the 2-1 win over Chelsea last night. Silva is confident that French international Kurzawa will prove a capable stand-in after he opened the scoring in Fulham’s FA Cup win at Hull City last Saturday.

The Fulham head coach told his pre-match press conference at Motspur Park this morning:

“He showed he is ready. It’s a moment to pop up. Like for Vinicius, it was a moment to pop up and he did it. I’m really pleased for him. It’s the same for Kurzawa. He’ll need minutes to be better and better but it’s a chance for him”
