Fulham have this afternoon confirmed the capture of forward Callum McFarlane, who has signed straight from Bradfield College.

The 18 year-old striker will bolster Steve Wigley’s strikeforce as Fulham’s under 21s prepare to rejoin the Premier League 2 top flight. The under-23 side, which Wigley assumed control of in the early stages of last season, stormed to Division 2 title and McFarlane is the academy’s second addition of the summer – after the Whites concluded a deal to bring Juventus midfielder Kristian Ĺ ekularac back to London last week.

McFarlane, speaking to the club’s official website after several sessions at Motspur Park, was delighted to join a Premier League club: “It’s been a really great start and I’m so excited to be here. I’ll take every step as it comes. I’d say I’m a very dynamic striker who can perform well doing a number of different roles. I can hold up the ball, make good runs in behind and I’m quite powerful on and off the ball.”
