Fulham have tabled a £5.8m offer for Internacional winger Caio Vidal, according to reports from south America.

The 21 year-old made his senior debut for Internacional in a 1-0 Brazilian Cup victory over America Mineiro in November 2019 and signed a two-year contract the following December after an impressive run of form that attracted interest from the likes of Fiorentina and Getafe. Vidal, a versatile forward who can play on either wing as well as a central striker, has scored six goals in 64 appearances for the Reds.

Fulham boss Marco Silva has handed a lengthy shortlist of transfer targets to the club’s hierarchy as the Whites seek to complete deals early in the summer transfer window in a bid to hit the ground running next season. The Whites are two wins away from an automatic return to the Premier League after winning 1-0 at Middlesbrough on Wednesday. Silva successfully signed Brazilian striker Rodrigo Muniz from Flamengo last summer – and is scouring the south American market for bargains again.

Internacional are apparently reluctant to lose one of their brightest young talents, but the player is believed to be very interested in the prospect of playing in England.
