Former Fulham forward Andrew Cole has been shortlisted as one of 25 nominees to join the Premier League hall of fame this year.

Whilst the ex-England striker is better known for his goalscoring exploits with Newcastle and Manchester United, where he won five Premier League titles, Cole had two spells at Craven Cottage. He scored four times in fifteen appearances in a loan spell with Third Division Fulham in the 1991-92 season and then signed for Chris Coleman’s side in 2004 after falling out with Graeme Souness at Blackburn Rovers.

Cole topped Fulham’s scoring charts with thirteen goals in 39 appearances, hitting one of the goals of the season against Liverpool, before opting to leave London after a single season as his family wanted to return to the north west.
