Fulham have finally agreed an £8m deal to sign Flamengo forward Rodrigo Muniz, according to Football Insider.

The website quotes a cites a club source, who suggests the signing should be completed in the coming days, following torturous negotiations with the Brazilian outfit over their 20 year-old striker. Fulham sought to renegotiate a previously arranged deal after learning that Flamengo had tried to sell Muniz, who is keen to work with Marco Silva, to Middlesbrough for a lower fee.

Silva is eager to sign a striker to supplement Aleksandar Mitrovic ahead of the new Championship campaign and views Muniz, who has scored 10 times in 33 appearances since breaking into the Flamengo first team last year, as the sort of young talent he can develop. Muniz, who won the Brazilian championship in a fairytale debut campaign at senior level, is keen to come to London after Silva suggested he could have similar success to Richarlison should he make the move.

The deal has also been held up after Muniz tested positive for coronavirus last week.
