Former Tottenham goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga is having a medical at Fulham this afternoon, according to Talksport.

The Argentinian custodian, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Elche, was heavily linked to Fulham following their promotion last year and would offer competition to Marek Rodak, who is expected to be Marco Silva’s number one this season. He is available on a free transfer after leaving Spurs earlier this summer. The Whites released Marcus Bettinelli last month and Spanish goalkeeper Fabri, who has made two senior appearances since joining the club in 2018, is expected to be loaned out again.

Gazzaniga, 29, spent four years at Tottenham – making 37 first-team appearances since following former manager Mauricio Pochettino from Southampton, where he had played 23 games in four seasons after signing from Gillingham. He has one international cap for Argentina having appeared as a substitute in a friendly against Mexico in November 2018.
