Leicester are lining up a move for Fulham left back Joe Bryan as they prepare for life without Ben Chilwell, according to a report from the Sun tonight.

Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers views Fulham’s Wembley promotion-winning hero as a potential replacement for Chilwell, who is rumoured to be close to sealing to Chelsea. The tabloid names Atalanta attacking full back Robin Gosens as Leicester’s number one target – but with the Italian club slapping a £27m price tag on one of their prize assets and a host of suitors across Europe interested in signing the 26-year-old, City have drawn up alternative plans.

Bryan has featured prominently on Leicester’s radar for a while – with Rodgers an admirer of the former Bristol City full-back long before his Wembley brace that sealed Fulham’s promotion back to the Premier League earlier this month. Leicester are keen to see whether Antonee Robinson’s arrival at Craven Cottage could tempt Fulham to part with Bryan, but the Sun suggests that the Londoners would only consider offers of around £15m. Bryan struggled in the top flight during his first season in west London but has firmly established himself as Scott Parker’s first choice left back – making 80 appearances and scoring four goals for the Whites.
