Aleksandar Mitrovic believes Fulham’s fluid style of football will help them plenty of points during the course of the Premier League campaign.

The Serbian striker grabbed a brace in the space of two first-half minutes as the Whites earned their first win of the season in an absorbing encounter with Burnley at Craven Cottage yesterday afternoon. Mitrovic, who now leads the top flight scoring charts with three goals, also feels that Fulham’s faith in the system adopted by head coach Slavisa Jokanovic will prove pivotal by the end of the campaign.

He told the press after the final whistle yesterday:

It was a tough game. Burnley play really tough. A lot of goals but I enjoyed the three points. Every goal is a nice goal, great feeling but the most important thing is we grab the three points and give the fans a nice afternoon.

“We have so many new players, they came from different leagues and some don’t speak English but this is the best league, we want to stay with the best and we will work hard to do that. No matter what we do, we will stick to our system and that will give us more confidence to stay in this league
