Slavisa Jokanovic has revealed that he is currently in talks with Fulham over his extending his stay at Craven Cottage beyond the summer.

The Serbian head coach was appointed as a permanent successor to Kit Symons in December 2015 on an eighteen month deal, but he has previously remained tight-lipped on his future. Jokanovic has overseen a dramatic turnaround that has taken the Whites from relegation candidates during their two previous Championship campaigns to contenders for a play-off place this term.

His achievements have not gone unnoticed, with the former Watford boss being linked to jobs in Spain and Germany, but Jokanovic confirmed during today’s press conference of Sunday’s FA Cup fifth round tie with Tottenham that he was discussing a new deal with Fulham:

I’m under contract and I am motivated to keep going and that’s it. We are talking about this right now. I am happy here and it’s a great club and we need to be more successful than we are and that’s it. This is part of the football business. I try and focus on my daily job.
