Fulham have been dealt a blow after boss Kit Symons revealed Tim Hoogland needs a hernia operation.

The German defender made a storming start to his career in west London, but hasn’t featured since October.

And Symons will have to do without the marauding right-back for at least another month as he’s due to have surgery at the beginning of next week.

The Fulham manager said: “Tim’s going to need a hernia operation which will put him out for about three weeks until he’s back into training. He’s missed a lot of football, so he will need another few weeks to get his fitness up.”
