Kit Symons is ready to let Fulham’s fringe players leave Craven Cottage on loan.

Summer signings Mark Fotheringham and Adil Chihi haven’t featured since Felix Magath left the club in September and are way down the pecking order in SW6.

Youngsters Chris David and Cameron Burgess have also failed to make an impact since Symons took charge.

And the Cottagers chief says he is willing to let some players go out before the loan window shuts later this month.

He said: “The squad is top-heavy in certain areas and we’re a bit light in others. Maybe some players are getting frustrated and I understand that.

“We have got a big squad and players want to play football. Some of them are at different stages of their career and I’ll speak to every individual.

“We will actively encourage the young players to get out on loan for their development and to hopefully improve and come back with a view to playing in our first team.

“Other more senior players who want to get out on loan, we will listen to that but we’ve got to do what’s right for the football club.

“I’m conscious of the individuals as well. I will be honest and tell them the truth. You can come to an agreement that suits all parties.”

Symons is also on the lookout to bolster his squad, with Chris Baird lined up for a return to west London.
