Fulham utility man Chris Baird is still playing the waiting game over his Fulham future.
The Northern Irish international has made 22 appearances for the Whites this season, but hasn’t featured since the victory over Stoke back in February, and is out of contract in the summer.
Baird, who was a January target for Reading and West Brom, has failed to even make the bench in the past couple of months, despite a shortage of options in the middle of the park.
Boss Martin Jol has revealed contract negotiations are underway with several of the club’s stars, but Baird’s representatives are yet to hold discussions with the club’s hierarchy about extending his six-year stay in SW6.
The utility man has featured 165 times for Fulham since his move from Southampton in 2007, scoring four goals.
