Eidur Gudjohnsen has indicated he would like to make his loan move from Stoke to Fulham permanent.

The Icelandic international joined Fulham on loan until the end of the season on transfer deadline day after a disappointing spell at Stoke.

Gudjohnsen, who made his Premier League debut for Fulham in Monday’s draw with former club Chelsea, has been impressed by the set-up at Craven Cottage and would be happy to stay on a permanent basis.

“I had been having a difficult time at Stoke, but this club has been a breath of fresh air for me,” said Gudjohnsen.

“I know it’s not a permanent deal, but I’m here to show what I can do.

“Who knows what will happen in the summer? I’m 32, physically fit, injury free and hungry to do well. I believe I have still got a lot to give.

“The set-up here is fantastic, the training is great and I’m determined to get playing again and help Fulham as much as I can.”
