On this FA Cup final morning I was actually surprised that there was much transfer talk at all but I found a few pieces on Fulham.
Firstly, if these are true then it looks like my wish for some youth to be added to the squad might come true. Apparently Nicky Maynard is on the wish list and a £3.25 million deal is about to go onto the table. The 23 year old striker had a good season for Bristol City – scoring 20 goals in the league. He is quick so could form a good partnership with Bobby Zamora.
We are also reportedly interested in Boulogne and French U21 international midfielder Damien Marcq. I can’t find much more information on him but he must be useful if he is a French U21 international. We are apparently ready to put an offer in of 3.5million.
UPDATE- Apparently we are also interested in Rochdale defender Craig Dawson. Middlesborough are also interested along with Spurs. The 20 year old is touted to be one of the most promising defenders in the country.
Juventus reportedly want Hodgson to be their new manager. Please no!
Sky Sports claim that we are one of the english clubs interested in Norway international Magne Hoseth. The 29 year old has had a good season for both club and country and the attacking midfielder could be available for a cut price fee of only £450,000.
Now for some talk about our own players. Again there is interest in Bobby Zamora now from Everton and Aston Villa. He still seems to have a £8 million price tag on his head. I think that if he was to leave then those clubs would definitely be more realistic than Birmingham. Lets just hope that it doesn’t happen!
Man City are apparently meant to be parting with 14 of their players and Stephen Ireland is on the list. Sign him up Roy!!
