Stephen Kelly says he’d love to get one over on his old club by helping Fulham reach the FA Cup semi-finals on Saturday.

The Republic of Ireland international, who will be battling Chris Baird for a spot in the starting eleven, spent six years at White Hart Lane and, with Tottenham set to face the Cottagers in the quarter final at the weekend, Kelly admits that he looks forward to games against Spurs.

Tottenham in the FA Cup this weekend is special for me, especially if I can get one over on them. They are a good side and they are playing a lot of good football at the moment and doing very well in the league at the minute.

It is going to be difficult, but we have got them at home and our home form has been very good this season so why not that we get through to the next round.

Kelly says he’s delighted to have made the move to Craven Cottage in the summer.

Things are going well so I can’t really complain. We are in the next round of the Europa League, the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and our league position is doing well and we are also playing a lot of good football. I am just really enjoying my football at this time.
