It doesn’t come as a galloping shock to learn that Fredrik Stoor is keen to leave Fulham after just a year with the club.
I think Nick made a prediction in the comments after the Arsenal away game last season that, should a decent run in the first team not materialise, Stoor would be out the door. It’s a shame as his performances at the European Championships and for Rosenborg marked him out as a very useful right back, but he hasn’t been able to usurp John Pantsil in the Fulham pecking order.
Playing for the reserves/development squad is no way to force your way back into a national team in World Cup year (although there’s a real doubt hanging over Sweden’s prospects of reaching South Africa) and there are sure to be a number of clubs interested in Stoor. Sky Sports says that he would be keen to stay in England – with Portsmouth, Stoke and Bolton all rumoured to be interested.
