We certainly are being linked with a lot of strikers this sumer. The latest is the Young Boys forward Seydou Doumbia who has had a great season for Berne.

It would be a surprise – to  me at least – if our interest were to trump that of the leading French sides rumoured to be keen on Doumbia, but, for the moment at least, that discussion would appear to be academic. In a rare case of a young footballer having a wise head on his shoulders, Doumbia realises that, at 21, he might do best to mature as a footballer with Young Boys and move when his game is more fully developed.

I have heard a lot about moving from Young Boys, but it is only rumours. Fulham in the Premier League? It is flattering, but I am still young and I want to prove myself here before joining a top league.

All this is in the hands of my club and my agent. I am calm and will wait to see what happens. But one day I will play in England or Spain, as they are the best leagues in the world.
