At the bottom of this piece about Bolo Zenden wanting to go back to Holland, there’s a suggestion that we’ve been considering a loan move for Tottenham’s holding midfielder Didier Zokora.

If true, this would be very interesting indeed. You’ve got to imagine that Olivier Dacourt will leave the club – and maybe even retirement – once his loan spell comes to an end against Everton on Sunday. In that case, we’ll need somebody who can play the anchor role to either cover for Dickson Etuhu or challenge the Nigerian for a first team spot.

The article suggests that Zokora is thinking about his international chances in a World Cup year and feels that he won’t get enough chances in a Spurs shirt. Tottenham are keen to sell, but we’ve been linked only with a loan move so far. Marseille are also interested – so watch this space.
