Norwegian side Tromso have confirmed that Fulham are interested in defender Tore Reginiussen.

The Cottagers are reportedly willing to pay around £2.85m for the 22-year-old, who had a trial at Blackburn earlier in the season. The interest comes amid speculation Fulham face a battle to keep hold of highly-rated defender Brede Hangeland.

Director Morten Kraemer confirmed to Nordlys: “He (Alistair Mackintosh, Fulham’s CEO) wanted to know if Tore was for sale and for what price. I will give him an answer during the evening.”

The Norway international – who has previously been linked with a number of English sides – is interested in a switch to the Premier League.

He said: “I know that Fulham have been interested for a while. It is, of course, very interesting if they are serious now. The club has done fairly well in the Premier League this season.”
