Fulham are keen on taking Lazio defender Guglielmo Stendardo on loan, according to reports from Italy this afternoon.

The 25 year-old has fallen out of favour with coach Delio Rossi and has slipped significantly down the pecking order at the Stadio Olimpico. Roy Hodgson has made an enquiry as to tall centre half’s availability – but he could face competition from both Birmingham and Celtic.

Stendardo, who has also played for Napoli, Sampdoria, Salernitana and Perugia, is apparently keener to remain in Serie A and AC Milan and his first club are interested in signing him. Lazio are yet to be drawn on whether the strong centre back will be available in the remainder of the January window.
