Fulham full back Niclas Jensen is desperate to leave the club in January so that he can keep his place for Denmark.

The 32-year-old has struggled to convince manager Chris Coleman to give him a regular run in the first team and is now determined to quit Craven Cottage when the transfer window reopens.

“If they don’t let me leave it will be scandalous,” he told Danish newspaper BT. “I haven’t been in the squad this season and there are no signs that I will be included again. It is very unsatisfying, because I feel I have done all I can. I am working hard, doing well in training and feel I deserve to play. But, apparently, the coach doesn’t feel that way.”
