Fulham are being credited with an interest in Schalke midfielder Simon Cziommer.

The German, who is currently on loan at Roda JC, is set to move on from Schalke in the summer and his free transfer status has caught the eye of a number of clubs.

Ajax, Twente and Feyenoord are believed to be keen on the 25-year-old, but reports in the Netherlands state they could face competition from The Premiership.

Cziommer was extremely highly rated when he joined Schalke in 2003, but failed to truly settle. The fact clubs such as Ajax and Feyenoord are sniffing around suggests that the talent is still there and he has produced a number of impressive displays for Roda recently.

Seven goals in 11 games is an impressive return and it is being claimed his efforts have caught the eye of Fulham chief Chris Coleman.

Goalscoring support for Heidar Helguson, Collins John and Brian McBride has been thin on the ground at Craven Cottage this term and Coleman could view landing Cziommer on a free transfer as a chance worth taking.
