Steed Malbranque is poised to put pen to paper on a new contract with Fulham, according to a report in The Sun this morning.

The French midfielder will sign a three-year deal at Craven Cottage after repairing his relationship with manager Chris Coleman. Malbranque turned down a move to Manchester City in the summer and the Londoners are looking to head off another approach from Stuart Pearce before the January transfer window.

The 25 year-old midfielder has returned to his sparkling best in recent weeks – including a matchwinning brace against City – and is ready to commit his future to Fulham.
