Fulham midfielder Papa Bouba Diop has been rated as the Premiership’s best performer in January by the Opta Index.
Diop scored three goals in as many games as Chris Coleman’s side climbed the table with a series of impressive displays. The Senegalese midfielder rifled home a sensational late equaliser against Manchester United to earn a dramatic point and scored two winners against Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion. The powerful midfielder topped the Opta Index well ahead of Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips.
