Fulham midfielder Sylvain Legwinski has spoken of his delight at returning to first team action after injury.

The combative midfielder made a second half substitute appearance against Everton at the weekend and is now looking forward to the rest of the campaign.

Legwinski had been ruled out since early October after damaging his ankle against Crystal Palace in a Premiership clash.

”It was nice to get back after being out for a while,” Legwinski told the club’s official website.

”My ankle is feeling much better now fortunately. It will take me a few games to get my match fitness and sharpness back.

”I’ve had two games in the reserves but you only really get used to the pace again by actually playing in the first team.”

Despite Fulham’s defeat on Saturday, Legwinski believes the club are heading in the right direction and are displaying the right type of spirit for a successful season.

”I think the team has discovered a new spirit recently, even though we lost on Saturday, but we still need to work very hard on recovering our game so that we can play the game we know we can,” continued Legwinski.

”The only thing we can do is to continue to work hard on the training ground, keep our spirit and think positively.

”We must think that every time we go out on the pitch we’re going to win.”
