Fulham have confirmed the permanent signing of Arsenal full back Moritz Volz this afternoon.

The German defender has made a real impression during his loan spell at Loftus Road, prompting manager Chris Coleman to snap him on a permanent basis.

The two clubs agreed terms over the deal late last month, which allowed Coleman to offer the full back a deal. Volz has agreed a three-year contract for the 20 year-old full back.

“I am very glad that we have secured a permanent deal with Moritz,” Coleman told the club’s website. “He has been a great asset to us this season and is a quality defender.

“He is still very young but shows great maturity on the pitch and I know that he will continue to work hard to develop as a player during his time here.”
