Fulham are ready to exercise their year-long contract extension option on in-form Ryan Fredericks ending Premier League interest in the full back, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 25 year-old, who added two assists in this afternoon’s come-from behind victory at Barnsley to the two goals he made against Burton last weekend, has apparently been monitored by the likes of Stoke City, Swansea City and Southampton as he current deal expires at the end of the season. But Fredericks and his representatives have been locked in talks over a new deal and the former Bristol City full-back has insisted he remains happy at Craven Cottage and wants to help the Whites return to the Premier League.

Tonight’s Mirror report says that the Cottagers have rebuffed interest from the Saints and is the clearest indication yet that the former Tottenham academy graduate, who has made 95 appearances for the Whites, will be remaining with Fulham.
