Fulham’s search for a new forward has led them to table an offer of around £3.5m for Eibar striker Sergi Enrich, according to a Sky Sports report this afternoon.

The 26 year-old forward, who came through the youth team ranks at Real Mallorca, scored 11 goals in 41 appearances for Eibar last season. He scored nine teams in La Liga last season, including two in Eibar’s last two games of the season, as they finished in fourteenth place, five points clear of the drop. Enrich played twelve minutes as a substitute of their opening game of this campaign, a 2-1 defeat by Deportivo.

Enrich, capped by the Spanish under-19 side during his youth career, only joined Eibar last season after scoring 26 goals in 76 league games for Segunda side Numancia. The Spanish side are thought to be open to doing a deal that would lead to his departure, but it remains to be seen whether Fulham’s opening offer comes close to matching their valuation.

Slavisa Jokanovic has made the recruitment of a striker a top departure having lost Ross McCormack and Moussa Dembele during the summer, but his rumoured pursuit of former Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan was called off yesterday afternoon.
