Fulham midfielder Tayo Edun has been named in the England Under 19 squad for a home and away double header against the Netherlands and Belgium next month.
Edun, who made his professional debut in the EFL Cup against Leyton Orient this month and followed that up with an accomplished display in the win over Middlesbrough last night, is part of new coach Keith Downing’s squad for the two friendly internationals that begin with the clash with the Dutch at Telford on October 1st.
Edun, a regular in previous England youth squads as either a left back or left sided midfielder, has been rewarded for some excellent pre-season performances across the midfield and Fulham head coach Slavisa Jokanovic saluted his energy and desire after the extra-time victory over Middlesbrough last night.
