Fulham have this morning confirmed the signing of Argentinian youth international Tiago Casasola on a three-year contract.

The 19 year-old watched Wednesday’s defeat by Wolves from the stands at Craven Cottage before putting pen to paper on a deal to bring him to London from Boca Juniors on a long-term contract, which has an option from an additional twelve months. Casasola has a burgeoning reputation in South American football, having been close to moves to Roma and Barcelona in the past year, and represented Argentina at the Under 20 World Cup this summer.

Fulham manager Felix Magath was delighted to sign the talented defender:

He is a young player, a great talent. He is, in my opinion, a player who can develop to play at Premier League and Champions League level.

Casasola himself said:

It’s a great club and I’m very happy to be here. I know that the Club has great fans and I also know that it has a long history.
