Martin Jol has told Bobby Zamora that he must score more goals to earn a place in Fabio Capello’s squad for Euro 2012.

The Fulham manager was impressed with the England international’s work ethic and hold-up play during the 1-1 draw at Arsenal at the weekend but feels the 30 year-old should be scoring more goals to underline his quality. Zamora has failed to score in all of his last six league outings.

Bobby is brilliant as a number nine. He is a specific type of player, a target man who is one of our main strengths. Whether he goes with England to the European Championships depends on what you want.

As a striker, you have to score goals and I hope Bobby can be a bit more productive. We have to believe in ourselves and score goals at the right moments.
