The Daily Mail splashes with a suggestion that Fulham are moving to resurrect their loan deal for Andre-Pierre Gignac, which collapsed in the final hours of transfer deadline day back in August.

Gignac, as Rich noted over at CCN yesterday afternoon, had a tremendous row with Marseille boss Didier Deschamps in training and has been dropped from the l’OM squad for their clash with PSG at the weekend. He hasn’t been featuring on a regular basis for Marseille this season – something which appears to lay behind the outburst – and will almost certainly be leaving the club in January.

Jol wouldn’t be drawn on the suggestion that he would be reviving his interest in Gignac at Fulham’s pre-match press conference yesterday:

If we do [move for Gignac], we will let you know. Of course we always look to improve the squad and that is what we try to do, but I don’t want to mention names.
