Kagisho Dikgacoi will leave Fulham today and sign for Crystal Palace in a £600,000 deal.

The South African midfielder has struggled to nail down a first-team place since joining the Whites from Golden Arrows in 2009. He enjoyed a successful spell with Palace on loan towards the end of last season and, despite concerns that the Eagles might not be able to agree a fee with Fulham, is expected to formalise his transfer this afternoon.

Palace manager Dougie Freedman confirmed:

KG will sign on a permanent deal. He’s my kind of player and I’ve persuaded the chairman to buy him.

At only 26 he is only going to get better with more games and I see it as a good investment for the football club. He wants to come here and play and I am only interested in players who are keen to play for Crystal Palace and will make us a better side.

Dikgacoi made 16 appearances for Fulham and was sent off on his Premier League debut at West Ham. Rich has already mourned his departure over at CCN but, whilst he looked like a promising talent at one stage, this shows that Martin Jol is committed to pruning the squad to bring in quality.
