It makes no sense. If we're prepared to pay £8 to buy out a contract and £2m/year, it's clear to me that the club is taking this very seriously. It wouldn't surprise me at all if we end up with a bigger name that hasn't been mentioned anywhere yet. Being patient with this process is the right way to go IMO, I'd much rather get another great manager on board two weeks before the season than end up with a mediocre manager today.
