Good shout re Eagles. just read he was dropped to the bench for them at the weekend. Same goes for him. If we have the ball he is no threat. Up and at em, that is what I say.

Eagles is the guy we need to shut down – everything they do is through him. He is quick and skillful. He is a fantastic little player. He stands out as the only real class player they have.

Nugent will only be a problem if they have the ball, blindingly obvious statement but if we were to be puhing forward they will be worried about us, not us about them.

To this end I would like to see Riise on the right with Duff on the left with Zamora and Okaka up front to start.

RB is an area of concern, I am not toally against Kelly being our man and his pass for Gera to score againt Basle in the Europa League being the main reason for me to still give him the beneift of doubt, especially as that was when he was playing out of position.

Nugent will be a handful because he has pace, something our backline doesn’t appear to have, Shorey aside. I was disappointed to see that the left back had played for Villa in the first round of the Europa League against Rapid Vienna. I wonder if Konchesky will be back in time for the Shaktar game?
