A couple of lines from the post-match press conference. An understandably delighted Roy Hodgson has had his joy tempered by two bits of bad news.

Fulham could be without the in-form Bobby Zamora for Sunday’s trip to Sunderland after the in-form forward was forced off in the second half against Shakhtar Donetsk with an achilles problem. The introduction of David Elm to replace him wasn’t tactical and the medical staff will monitor Zamora’s progress over the next couple of days.

Hodgson says he felt Danny Murphy’s late red card was harsh, although the club may not appeal for fear of UEFA extending the ban.
