Since there’s snow on the ground, I guess it’s the silly season again. Time for some more newspaper nonsense – this morning courtesy of the Times.
Mark Hughes is looking for another centre back, despite paying around £40m for two in the last transfer window. Apparently, he wants Brede Hangeland, and the article makes some mention of European football. Well, hands off, Sparky. Fulham are in Europe and City aren’t – for this season anyway.
Plus, in the case the press hadn’t noticed, Hangeland signed a new long-term contract only last month.
