We haven’t been discomforted by Bolton’s direct approach for a while, but we were really poor against the high ball this afternoon. It was very unlike the tight and disciplined Fulham rearguard we’ve grown used to with Hodgson. The long throw caused confusion, Hangeland was turned too easily and Klasnic finished very well indeed.
For a long time, it looked as if that might be the end of the scoring. Jaaskelainen appeared equal to everything we could throw at him – until Duff finished wonderfully after cleverly finding some space. It was a great shot, especially off his weaker foot. Savour it again here.
