Davies on his way back

by Dan on September 9, 2009

Simon Davies continued his comeback from injury by playing a big part in a friendly draw with Chelsea at Cobham yesterday afternoon.

Fulham’s Welsh midfielder, who has been out since before the end of last season after having surgery on a stress fracture of the foot, started the behind-closed-doors game and was quickly involved forcing Ross Turnbull into a couple of sharp saves.

He made Fulham’s goal as well – playing a clever ball through to reserve team striker Michael Uwezu who hit a low shot into the corner. Let’s hope we see him back in the side soon.
